Production Manager (Machining & Stamping)
(Johor - Taman Perindustrian Nusa Cemerlang, Gelang Patah)
Responsibilities:
- Oversee production processes and draw up production schedules. Coordinate, set up and implement standard operating procedure for all production operations. Monitoring production processes and adjusting schedules as needed.
- Making sure that products are produced on time and are of good quality and manage the adherence to prescribed procedures to ensure first pass quality meets or exceeds planned goals. Monitor product standards and implementing quality-control programs.
- Promote quality initiatives and encourage staff participation in quality improvement schemes such as 5S, OHSAS, ISO 14000 etc.
- Ensure that production processes are cost effective. Implement and drive continuous improvement activities through implementation of change management process and best practices. Develop and track improvement in reduction of planned downtime hours. Lean manufacturing experience and background would be an advantage.
- Ensure complete compliance to prescribed QMS, and 5S processes. Ensure implementation and evolution of safety procedure and ensuring that health and safety guidelines are followed.
- Implement systems of preventive maintenance of equipment and machines.
- Working out material resources required together with the materials and planning team.
- Conduct regular reviews on manpower and material utilization to maximize usage and minimize wastage.
- Ensure production staff are systematically trained for various tasks on-the-job or via external training courses.
- Track competencies of subordinates and provide leadership and development as required to achieve the objectives. Supervising and motivating a team of workers and reviewing the performance of subordinates.
- Ensure planned KPI’s of efficiency and performance are met or exceeded.
- Document best practices in production methods and implement the adoption of the best practices among production personnel
- One vacancy for Stamping Manager and One vacancy for Machining Manager.
Requirements:
- Degree in Engineering, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or other Manufacturing emphasis with at least 5 years working experience in manufacturing environment.
- Candidates with experience in stamping ( HDD)
- Or Can didates with experience in machining (CNC Machine, Sheet metal part development, Welding Processes, Metal Part finishing, Machince assembly).
- Familiar with Milling Machine ( Brother) or Turning Machine ( Wasino/ Amada)
- Ideal candidate will be certified as a Six Sigma Black Belt.
- Lead in developing MBOs for the production teams
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills and the ability to relate to all levels of employees at a production facility.
- Strong analytical skills, along with a solid understanding of Microsoft Office software.
- Must have demonstrable career path of meeting and exceeding expected results.
- Must be willing to work in a fast paced organization where a premium for results is required and expected.
- Must create a sense of team ownership and urgency within the organization.
- Must be a leader, motivator and coach.
