Analyst - Portfolio Risk/Quantitative
(Kuala Lumpur)

Responsibilities:

  1. To help fulfill our need for ongoing review, analytical support and challenge of the investment process within the Fund Management team to ensure that the investment decision making process is robust and effective.
  2. To assist Fund Management in understanding and utilizing quantitative techniques to maximize alpha and ensuring the portfolio efficiently and effectively reflects investment views both bottom up and top down.
  3. To provide reassurance to senior management that funds are being managed in line with investment proposition and stated style
  4. To provide clients with real insight into the investment characteristics and risks of the funds in which they invest.
  5. To regularly update the Investment Management team and Sales/Product Management on their research and comparison of our peers; and keep track of index changes and its impact.  


Candidate Requirements:
  • Have a degree from a recognized university with a background in Econometrics/Statistics and/or Business related subjects (MBA or CFA would be an added advantage).
  • Minimum working experience of 2 years in the investment or related industries.
  • Able to work independently under general supervision.
  • Highly self-motivated and an effective team player.
  • Good time management skills.
  • Good command of written and spoken English.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluency in other languages is an added advantage.
