Production Supervisor
(Johor - Taman Perindustrian Nusa Cemerlang, Gelang Patah)
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead a team of Production Operators and Productions Technicians in daily production operations to meet productions metrics in terms of Output, Quality, Safety and Cost.
- Effectively manage the resources to achieve desired targets on productivity, quality, housekeeping and HSE
- Plan and implement continuous improvement programs .
- Directs training and development of employees on new processes and procedures.
- Oversees and or conducts training of new or existing employees.
- Maintaining Housekeeping at a high level within the department through the involvement of all team members.
- Monitors quality of incoming raw materials and finish products
- Interacting and liaising with the other manufacturing teams and Logistics to prioritize backorders.
- Develops and recommends improvements of facilities, equipment, or procedures to improve safety, quality, and efficiency.
- Managing process and material flows, space management, and working with the Engineering group to maximize utilization of space designated for specific operations area.
- Monitors usage of utilities to ensure efficiency of operations.
- Build Quality into all aspects of work by maintaining compliance to all quality requirements.
- Establish and support a work environment of continuous improvement that supports the companies Quality policy, Quality System & the appropriate regulations for the area.
- Works with EHS to identify significant environmental impacts of plant operations and to establish goals and targets around significant environmental impacts.
- Schedules and or performs calibrations for plant measuring instruments.
- Administration duties which include shift work scheduling, Time & Attendance system, Holiday planning and etc.
Requirements:
- Possess Diploma in Mechanical/Production/Industrial Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 5 year(s) of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment with strong knowledge in Cold Forming, Machining or Metal Stamping.
- Possess strong leadership and good supervisory skills
- Good analytical and problem solving skills
- Able to work on rotation shifts
- Knowledge in environmental, health and safety management.
- Ability to train and develop employees.
