JOB VACANCY AT Purchasing Assistant Manager

Uniplas Suzhou specializes in plastic decoration with Inmold injection technology for products in the telecommunication, automobile, imaging, computer devices and consumer markets. Our customers include the multinationals listed in the Fortune 500.

We are looking for self-starters with excellent communication skills and has a 'can do' attitude as our:

Purchasing Assistant Manager
(China - Suzhou, PR China)

 

Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of buyers
• Analyse customer product demand and forecasts when activating orders
• Track, monitor and push for resolution of materials supply problem or product supply problems
• Team up with other departments to resolve production or delivery problems
• Monitor inventory control and review turnover analysis of material purchased
• Compile and collate information on excess and obsolescence for product end of life assessment
• Drive down materials cost
• Participate in GP/ISO audits and sourcing activities
• Address customer's schedule change needs and ensure supplier response in a timely manner

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science/Arts or equivalent
• At least 5 year(s) of working experience in Materials function of a medium to large size company
• Preferably has 2 years experience as/assisting the head of Materials function
• Understand China tax and Customs requirements
• Strong knowledge of MRP/ERP principles
• Understand GP/ISO requirements for vendor management
• Applicants must be willing to work in Suzhou, PRC
• Required language(s): Chinese, English (to liaise with Chinese speaking associates)
