We are established chemicals manufacturer and distributor in Petaling Jaya. We are seeking suitable candidates to fill in the following positions at our factory/office in Prai Penang:
Senior Chemical Engineer
(Penang - to be stationed in Prai)
Responsibilities:
- Monitors daily production to ensure smooth operation.
- Presents monthly quality and production performance report to the Management.
- Recommends and proposes upgrades/ improvement of plant’s operation.
- Approves all the Material Requisition Forms before Purchase Orders are issued.
- Ensure instructions made by employer/ Occupational Safety & Health Officers from DOSH regarding safety and health are strictly follows.
- Regular inspections on Plants and equipment, processes and manual,
- Responsible in planning, coordinating and monitoring production schedule, process performance and product conformance to produce and deliver products and service that meet the customers’ requirement and satisfaction.
- Troubleshoots operation problems and identify resolution.
- Handles matters on failure analysis and plant reliability.
- Ensures production efficiency and cost reduction.
- Manages a team of chemical engineers within the production department to meet the quality objective and target set.
- Monitor spare part and ensure it in sufficient quantity.
- Planning for plant annual overhaul and due with contractor.
Requirements:
- Candidate must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering
- Independent with initiative, good analytical skill and able to work under minimum supervision.
- Required language(s): English, Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin
- At least 5 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
- Applicants with ISO 9001:2008 knowledge is an added advantage
- Able to work longer hours when necessary
