Test/Software Development Engineer
(Bayan Lepas)
Responsibilities:
- Develop software applications to automate the collection of data from testers, and to ensure the quality of tested products.
- Implement new applications, help users set up new hardware/software and monitor its progress until it runs smoothly.
- Troubleshoot software applications that are not performing to expectations, determine the root cause of the problem and implement/propose a permanent solution.
- Evaluate new hardware/software to determine its suitability for use within the organization.
- Provide technical expertise to teams working on ways to improve a process or solve a problem.
- Generate or update work procedures and specifications to reflect the current process.
- Ensure work procedures conform to company and international quality standards, including environmental quality standard.
Requirements:
Bachelors or Masters degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Technology, Information Technology or equivalent with experience in the following:
- PC hardware, Windows/Unix/DOS/OS2/VMS.
- Programming languages Pascal, MS VC++/VB, Perl, PHP, Apache web server.
- MCT/ASL/Eagle/Advantest testers.
