Senior Safety Officer
(Perak)
Responsibilities:
- To provide abreast of all relevant Safety law, codes of practices and standards
- Provide site management and all worker with current HSE information and requirements
- To ensure work being executed at worksites are in the safe manner and best practices.
- To ensure work being executed at worksites are in the safe manner and best practices.
- To disseminate HSE information lesson learnt to all employees at worksites.
- Work with supervisor and person-in –change at worksite on the suitable and appropriate hazard control ad intervention for the works.
- HSE planned activities are fully executed as planned
- Liaise with supervisor on specific HSE requirement and system.
- To submit HSE report to HSE manager as scheduled.
- To conduct regular emergency response onboard and review effectiveness of the systems.
- To ensure site HSE committee is established and meeting conducted
- To be secretary of site HSE steering committee.
- Proactively campaigning HSE program and activities at site
- To take part in incident reporting at worksite
- To monitor and control daily work activities being carried out on site are meet safety standard.
- To conduct a safety induction to all new comes on site.
- To ensure daily toolbox meeting is conducted at worksite as planned
- To ensure all safety equipment’s on board are serviceable and in good working conditions.
- To ensure that all equipment, lifting appliances and machineries are inspected, color-coded and approved prior used in site.
- To ensure that all site HSE programs are being carried out per planned.
- To ensure all relevant certificate such as competency, testing and etc are current and available on site.
- To plan daily safety patrol on daily basis and educate all worker and to guide the, in HSE compliance.
- To maintain and record keeping of all HSE activities carried out on site.
- To ensure that emergency evacuation drills are carried out accordingly and to submit such report to HSE Manager.
Requirements:
- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor Degree/Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years experience in Manufacturing Industry and Construction Safety Supervision and implementation
- Must be registered with JKKP/ DOSH/ NIOSH and green book holder
- Knowledge of ISO14001 Environmental Management System and OHSAS18001 Safety Management System.
- Preferably executives specializing in Environmental/ Health /Safety.
- Possess good leadership quality , positive working attitude
- Detailed and systematic, good communication and documentation abilities.
- Good planning and execution skills
- Responsible and able to work independently.
