Responsibilities:
- Technical management of power plant conceptual design studies
- Management and preparation of power plant pre-feasibility and feasibility studies
- Management of modelling for the projects
- Manage technical consulting assignments, such as technical due diligence and lenders engineer projects
- Preparation of technical reports for clients and coordinating internal report preparation process
- Business development supporting technical proposal preparation and contract negotiation
- Manage and meet established quality program targets while working within the guidelines of the WP Quality Assurance program.
- Manage the execution of multi-discipline detailed engineering and design projects
- Develop and implement detailed strategies and objectives for the project to match and contribute to the corporate strategies and objectives
- Develop performance measurement and monitoring systems to track deliverables, objectives and targets
- Directing multi-discipline FEED design studies
- Preparation and management of design budgets, estimates, forecasts and schedules for all projects
- Assist with technical preparation of EPC proposals and negotiations
- Preparation or review of technical Project Contracts and Contract Reviews
- Responsible for personal safety safe working practices in accordance with the WorleyParsons defined HSE corporate guidelines.
Requirements:
- Professional degree in mechanical engineering, energy economics, or other field relevant for power sector projects (M.Sc. or B.Sc.)
- Minimum of twenty (20) years professional power sector experience, with ten (10) years of demonstrated success within a power consulting engineering environment
- Proven track record in coal market
- Significant exposure in Asian markets
- Fluent in English (second language desirable but not required)
- Appraisal, development and training of staff
- Ability to motivate staff both upwards and downwards across a matrix organization.
- Excellent skills in report writing
- Good skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and technical computer applications and programs
- Business travel required as well as durational international assignments
