We are one of the largest cocoa manufacturer in Malaysia, specializing in manufacturing cocoa powder and cocoa butter. By using the latest technology and technical know-how from Europe, our products are marketed all over 5 continents. Due to the good recognition in the industry, we are being able to attract one of the larger cocoa trading company in America as our join-venture partner at Port of Tanjung Pelepas (PTP), Johor.

In view of the rapid growth of our new plant, we are now looking for dynamic, highly motivated and committed individuals to embark on a challenging and rewarding career for the following position:

Manager, Tax
(Johor - PTP)

Responsibilities:

To work closely with Accounts Manager to resolve taxation matters related to business and projects, i.e. advise on withholding tax, custom duties and tax treaties;

To actively monitor, review and resolve direct and indirect taxation issues for the Group;

To monitor compliance and submission of relevant information to the respective countries’ tax authorities and to improve all tax related documentations;

To coordinate within Group entities in monitoring and resolving tax matters;

To provide and present monthly tax summary report of the Group to top Management;

To evaluate all possible tax savings and planning related issues of the Group and seek all opportunities to minimize tax exposure and maximize tax savings;

To assist in drafting and implementation of Group transfer pricing policies;

To keep abreast of current regional taxation development.

Requirements:

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or ACCA is preferable.
• Analytical, incisive in identifying and reporting on trends and business risk
• Between 5 – 7 years of tax experience, with at least 3 years of tax experience in an audit firm/corporate tax function in MNC
• Possesses strong commercial awareness;
• Good computer skills, particularly advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel;
• Excellent communication skills, proficient in English;
• Demonstrated flexibility in business judgement
• Applicants must be willing to work in PTP.
