Newline Machine Tool Sdn Bhd is the sole agent and authorized distributor for both Japanese machine brand namely MAKINO and OKAMOTO in Malaysia.  We are presently expanding our activities and increase our skilled personnel.  For application team we require:-

Application Engineer (CNC Milling / Sinker EDM / Wire EDM)

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate the customer part geometry to determine optimum processing using the company's products including tooling selection, cutting time and surface finish.
• Utilize third party products in developing solutions.  The interface includes researching product capabilities, integrating these tools into solutions, defining installation and maintenance needs and conducting training classes.
• Write and edit tool paths.
• Prepare pre-sales cutting demonstration (both custom & general) which match the customer concerns to assist to closing the sales and differentiating Makino from competition.  Design and procure equipment in order to set up these demonstrations.  Documents results of demonstration for use in future sales.
• Provide on-going customer applications assistance after the sales including customer site visits.  Leverage Salesman knowledge and resources as appropriate.
• Support regional and national machine tool shows wire cutting demonstrations and technical discussion with customers.
• Participate in meetings, seminars and training session to stay apprised of new developments in the fields and associate support.  Apply state-of-the-art Die/Mold technology (including peripheral equipment and supplies) to develop the optimal customer solution.
• Provide technical information as needed to others departments such as Sales & Marketing and Service.

Requirements:

• Able to operate CNC Milling or Sinker EDM or Wire EDM.
• Preferable Diploma / Degree in any discipline of engineering.
• Knowledge of CAD/CAM software would be an advantage.
• Technical experience in related field will be an advantage.
• Team player, good interpersonal skill and a can-do, positive attitude.
• Preferred language Mandarin, English and Malay.
• Able to write report and possess solid communication skills.
• Must have own transport.
• Must be willing to travel outstation when duty is required.
