About Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin (UniSZA)
The Government's decision to establish Universiti Sultan Zainal
Abidin was a historical development for the nation’s public institutions
and was a proud moment for Malaysia as a whole.
UniSZA Chronology:
- 1980 - Sultan Zainal Abidin Islamic College (KUSZA) was established and began operations in Sultan Zainal Abidin Upper Secondary Islamic School located at Batu Buruk, Kuala Terengganu.
- 1985 – The foundation stone was laid for the establishment of the KUSZA campus in Gong Badak, by The late Sultan Mahmud Al-Muktafi Billah Shah
- 2005 - Announcement of the establishment of Universiti Darul Iman Malaysia (UDM) by The Honourable Prime Minister, Dato 'Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi on March 26, 2005
- 2006 - Universiti Darul Iman Malaysia (UDM) began operations on 1 January 2006
- 2010 - UDM was renamed Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin (UniSZA) in May 2010
